I mentor poets at different stages of their writing development. I offer feedback on poems and projects, and talk through career paths and creative practice techniques.

About Me

Georgia Conlon is an award-winning poet, tutor, and workshop facilitator. She teaches workshops and mentors writers from across the world. Her recent workshops include ‘Voice in a City’ at Cambridge University, a 5-Week Creative Writing Course with Harrogate Museums, and online workshops with The Writing Tree, and Converge, based at York St. John University. Her work has been published with journals including Poetry Ireland Review, Aesthetica, and The North, and with organisations such as The Lit & Phil and The Great North Museum: Hancock. In 2019, she won place at Swanwick with her poem ‘Young Love vs.’ She is the recipient of the 2022-2024 MA in Writing Poetry Scholarship at Newcastle University. Over 365 of her poetry workshops can be found on her social media @GCtheWriter, and her essays can be found on Substack.

Georgia is also a qualified teacher. She has a BA and PGCE in English and Drama from Queen Mary University of London and the Institute of Education, UCL, respectively. She tutors English and Study Skills for students in Secondary School and Higher Education across five exam boards.

She was born in rural Somerset and grew up on a forecourt on the A303. She has lived in Oxfordshire, London, and North Tyneside. She now resides in North Yorkshire.
